Today Kerry had us thinking, and working on, our sites and blogs, and also using forms to give feedback to our colleagues and several selected other school sites. We met Clarelle Carruthers Yr 3 teacher Pt England School. She has been most encouraging and supportive imparting her knowledge and skills for a range of areas of digital learning including key values and skills for setting up, designing and making our websites visible / child centered. Below is a video that Clarelle shared where her students could talk about how they navigate and access their learning site.
I learned how to plan and organise better the layout of my website including placing buttons on my site to locate our learning pages easier. It was good to be able to spend some quality time on our sites and blog. Thanks also to Donna for your support in this area.
Nice work on your site Mary it's coming together well! I like the multi-modal elements you've included and I'm sure you're students will enjoy the range of visual media to help them with their learning. The Ngā Whetū o Matariki - Matariki Stars activity looks fabulous, I hope you share some of them on your class blog ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was great to hear you comment today too about how much easier it was for students learning to continue when their absent or even when you can't be there. That is the essence of the ubiquitous learning, anytime anywhere for all parties, ka pai!
