Digital Fluency Immersion 9 Last Workshop of the year

Many thanks to Kerry and her team for facilitating and supporting us for the last 9 weeks.  The exam was very long and our class group gave some good feedback to help better prepare.

An awesome lot of people in our group and I will certainly maintain communications.

Google Tilt Brush professional cartoon game artwork

My students are looking forward to using tilt brush next week and we have been watching videos to help us use the VR tools.

I uploaded this video through share.

Digital Fluency Immersion 8 Group Hangout

Here is an example of a group hangout Mina, Clarence Nikki and Myself. Very cool. The challenge was trying to eradicate all the noises around us and maintaining a clear connection with my group.

Digital Fluency Immersion 7 with visible learning and development.

Today Kerry had us thinking, and working on, our sites and blogs, and also using forms to give feedback to our colleagues and several selected other school sites. We met Clarelle Carruthers Yr 3  teacher Pt England School. She has been most encouraging and supportive imparting her knowledge and skills for a range of areas of digital learning including key values and skills for setting up, designing and making our websites visible / child centered. Below is a video that Clarelle shared where her students could talk about how they navigate and access their learning site.

I learned how to plan and organise better the layout of my website including placing buttons on my site to locate our learning pages easier. It was good to be able to spend some quality time on our sites and blog. Thanks also to Donna for your support in this area.

Digital Fluency Immersion 6 with Visible and Multi Modal learning.

Today we learned about Visible Teaching and Learning which is a kaupapa that allows the learner, access to every aspect of learning from planning to assessing. Students will be clear about, 'What we are learning, the process and progress of that learning and the outcomes and next steps for every student. We also learnt about 'Multi Modal', which defines the use of many tools to help and support learning.

We were learning to use coding programmes. Computational thinking,
planning, implement and share. Great for both the competitive and non-competitive.

The Hour of Code challenge has been completed and certified.
Definitely engaging and challenging for the mind. The KEY ?
Re_d  the inst_ _ctions carefully. 👩LET'S DO THIS MY STUDENTS!

Digital Fluency Immersion 5 with Google Slides Animation

My first attempt with the smiley faces shows each step without removing each face before the next. The second attempt shows the same process as the first while removing the last picture slide after inserting the next. WOO HOO ! Now to implement in the classroom.
